Your fishing adventure starts on a restored 31’ Jennifer Lee, a JC downeast boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers.
Capt. John will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 12-hour trips, mainly fishing for Bass, Seabass, Flounder, Shark, Bluefish, and Tautog, depending on the season and conditions on the day. You can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning.
→ All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing! Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.

About your captain
Captain John has been fishing his whole life – and like a kid, he has never lost his sense of wonder about the sea. In college, he studied Fisheries Science at the University of Rhode Island, then worked for many years as a commercial fisherman, catching everything from Swordfish to Squid, often a hundred miles from land. Lately, Captain John prefers being closer to home, targeting the fish he loves on short trips. Aside from his 31′ JC fishing boat, he also captains a pilot boat, which brings pilots to and from large tankers, freighters, and chemical carriers.
John Lee also is a writer and photographer. For two decades he has published stories in many fishing magazines, including On the Water, The Fisherman Magazine, Sport Fishing Magazine, Anglers Journal, Soundings, and National Fisherman.
Depending on the season, target species include: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Black Seabass, Mako Shark, Thresher Shark, Tautog and others.

Half Day Trip, Inshore (this is great for families and newer anglers)
Departure Options: Start at 7:00am or 12:00pm
This trip departs the dock at selected start time (morning or afternoon). The captain bottom fishes close to home with jigs and bait. The species you can target include Black Seabass, Fluke, and Scup. This trip is great for younger anglers and families. Bring the snacks and drinks of your choice.
4 Hour Trip, starts at 7:00am or Noon ~ Cost $600
Half Day Trip – Block Island Sound (classic fishing charter experience)
Departure Options: Start at 5:30am or 12:30pm
You and Captain John will start your trip designated time (morning or evening). You’ll go after Striped Bass, Bluefish, and bottom fish. This is the classic Rhode Island charter experience. The island is truly beautiful with world-class fishing. You should bring some snacks and drinks for the trip.
6 Hour Trip, starts at 5:30am or 12:30pm ~ Cost $850
6 Hour Fall Blackfish Fishing Trip
Departure Options: Start time to be determined at time of booking. This trip departs the dock at selected start time and includes all crab bait. You’ll primarily target Blackfish (AKA tautog). This trip is a classic fall fishing experience. Bring the snacks and drinks of your choice.
Approx 6 Hour Trip, up to 6 people ~ Cost $800

FAVORITE CHARTER EVER!
Our group had three kids (12, 14, 17), and none of us particularly experienced. We do a charter every summer in Narragansett, and everyone agreed this was their favorite. John took us to three different locations looking for sea bass, scup and flounder. His skill and knowledge of the area meant that the trip was action packed, with someone reeling something in almost constantly.
We caught many sea bass and scup, and even a few of the more elusive flounder. Captain John had lots to teach us about fishing, the Narragansett area, the fishing industry, and the other boats and sights we saw along the way. At the end of the trip, he masterfully cleaned our catch for us to take home. We ended our day yesterday with a delicious fresh fish dinner for 10. From start to finish, this was a great experience and we look forward to seeing John next summer!
